Yesterday's quake was pretty peaceful here. My chair and office wobbled a bit, and I worried I was having a stroke for a few moments, but it was just Virginia sending a seismic message to the east coast.
I'm a little more worried about this weekend's likely Hurricane Irene, especially when I see forecast maps like these. We're still on the western edge, of course, and the ground isn't saturated like it was when Hurricane Agnes flooded Corning and Elmira and washed out Lehigh Valley Railroad tracks around here.
