PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held at the Village Hall of the Village of Freeville, 5 Factory Street, Freeville, New York on May 4th, 2004, at 7:30 PM. The hearing concerns a proposed local law, the Parents Responsibility Act, which makes it unlawful for a minor of the age of 15 or less to commit, or a parent of such minor to knowingly consent or permit the minor to be in a public place in the Village of Freeville so as to allow, permit or provide the minor with the opportunity to commit, certain acts defined in the proposed law. The Act provides for procedures to be followed upon violation of its provisions and penalties.
