could have happened here. We were very lucky that Tuesday's rain wasn't worse here than it was, but other places weren't so fortunate. Places to the south and east of Dryden are severely flooded, with part of Interstate 88 completely washed out, much of Binghamton underwater, and damage all over. The print version of today's Ithaca Journal reports on the Tompkins County Red Cross' work to help other counties and repairs being made in the Town of Caroline.
The Journal also reports on Saturday's Varna barbecue to benefit cancer survivor Kim Rowland. We'll be serving from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the at the Varna Community Center (map), and the Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance will have a booth there.
TC3 is helping keep Cayuga Medical Center staffed with nurses, and the editorial looks at 50 years of the airport, just west of the Dryden line.
