Armed robbery in Dryden?

I've heard several times now of an armed robbery in the Village of Dryden, but the Ithaca Journal hasn't had a report and the Cortland Standard didn't choose that article as the one they posted for the day to their web site. It seems to be kind of an important thing to be missing. (I so wish the Cortland Standard would expand their delivery area further west....)

Update: Thanks to Bob Ellis for a brief description:

I believe the robbery occurred at 37 East Main, an apartment house, just up from James St. As police report it, it was "not a random incident" meaning the robbers went to that address specifically for unknown reason. My guess...to settle a drug deal.

The Journal does report that the Lake Road bridge by Tannery Circle will be closed roughly March 22nd April 18th through April 22nd May 13th.

Yes, the Cortland Standard website is useless with only one article/day posted and not necessarily the most newsworthy. The publisher states that he "will not give away news for free" like other newspapers. Right or wrong, that's why. I'd like to see an option where one could subscribe to a paid online edition or "e-edition" to the paper.

The Standard publisher's comment would make sense if he were willing to expand service to those of us who request it. Barring that, a paid online edition makes sense to me, possibly with options like the NYT will soon offer--maybe a handful of stories a month for free, and a fee after that. Why wouldn't he want to improve his bottom line that way?

Here's some coverage on cnycentral.com:

"Police say it happened Wednesday shortly after 12:30am. They say a man entered an unlocked home, approached the resident, and displayed a black handgun. Police say he demanded items before leaving on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'8" - 6'0" tall, wearing dark colored clothing and a black ski mask. "
