Schools, town news in The Shopper

There's a new Dryden Board Briefs in this week's issue of The Shopper, covering the April 27th meeting. (They're not yet posted on their site.) There's also an announcement about getting absentee ballots for the May 18th Board Elections, and a note that the "Dryden Central School District Office will be moving to its new location at the Middle School effective May 17, 2004."

Not from the school district, but related to the election, is an advertisement for Paul Lutwak, running for the school board.

There are also some town notices:

  • There will be a scrap metal cleanup with a dumpster at the Dryden Highway Department (map). They'll take scrap metal from May 3rd to May 30th, Monday through Thursday 7am-2pm and Fridays 7am-11am.
  • The Town will also be having a chipping day on May 8th, rain or shine from 8am to 4pm. Twigs and small branches will be accepted at a Johnson Road site (map). The notice says to "bring your own containers if you want to take chips with you."
  • The Town Highway Department is selling off a 2002 Silverado 2500HD 4WD pickup truck with 18,800 miles on it and a 2002 John Deere 425 lawn tractor through sealed bid auctions running through May 21st. Minimum bid on the truck is $19,500 and minimum bid on the tractor is $5,500.
