The Dryden Democrats will be hosting a Meet the Candidates event at the Varna Community Center (map) on Wednesday, October 19th at 7:30pm. We'll be serving refreshments and attendees will have the chance to talk with Democratic candates, including:
The public is welcome to attend - you don't have to be a Democrat. The League of Women Voters didn't seem to be running its past debate series, so we thought that it would be helpful to have a session where the public can meet them. We doubted that the Republicans would want to give our candidates the extra air time of talking with their incumbents. Apparently there may have been more interest in that than we thought, so we'll see what happens.
