Dryden children sing in Albany

This morning's Ithaca Journal reports on the Dryden Elementary School Chorus's trip to Albany last Friday, where they sang for "several important people" and then toured the city.

How They Voted in the Tompkins County Legislature has more details on the vote that kept Village of Dryden parcels from being made ag district land. Oddly, they don't list Legislator Martha Robertson, but by counting the votes I'm guessing she voted to keep it out, as did Mike Hattery.

In How They Voted in Albany, you can see that Dryden's representatives voted for every piece of the budget assembled by the "three men in a room".

On the opinion page, there's a Laurel:

The Varna Community Association and New Moms Support Group would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who attended and/or participated in the Project Dryden Child Benefit event on Saturday, March 10 at the Dryden Fire Station. To the volunteers, donators, organizations, businesses, performers, firefighters, bakers, news media, individuals, friends and helpers, we are indebted and most appreciative of your assistance.

Gretchen Rymarchyk of Dryden has a letter objecting to the Journal's new obituary policy. (I can't find it on their site.) Update: Here's a blog entry with more detail.

The report on the chorus was written by our own Olivia Lutwak, yet she did not get credit. Did she do so in the paper version???

Alas, no - it says "From Journal Staff Reports"on 3B.

No I did not get credit. :-( But thank you for noticing because I thought no one cared!!!!!
