Appeals court rejects Onondaga Land Claim

It's been a long time since I last wrote about this, but a federal appeals court just further rejected the Onondaga Nation's land claim suit.

For more on what this is about, see here. The claim includes eastern parts of the Town of Dryden.

This falls in the "utterly disgraceful" category; eventually, some future US Supreme Court is going to have to do what the Supreme Court of Canada did and order payment of reparations. It's merely a matter of time, and the interest is mounting. A theory of law based on rank prejudice, which is what the "Indian only laches" theory is, cannot stand forever.
