Nature walk in Etna

These keep coming!

Join the Finger Lakes Land Trust and EarthArts on Saturday, July 20 at 10:00 AM for a Creek Walk at the Etna Nature Preserve. This creek exploration is especially for families and children. EarthArts Mentor Simone Heartwood will help us find what lives under the rocks and in the streambed of the Etna Preserve. We'll learn a little about stream health and see what else we can find on the preserve. Be sure to wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Don't forget water and snacks! Directions: From Ithaca, follow Rt. 13 north to junction with Rt. 366. Follow Rt. 366 north for 1/2 mile. Preserve is located on both sides of road, next to cemetery. Park on left side and cross Rt. 366 to find the entrance to the preserve.

Talks and Treks is a series of guided walks led by volunteer naturalists to our region's natural areas that help educate youth and adults about the natural and cultural history of the Finger Lakes. The events are free and open to the public.

For more information visit our web site at www.fllt.org or call 607-275-9487. This event is free and open to the public and will go rain or shine.
